Tulare and Hanford postpone USAC events scheduled for this weekend

Stone Chevrolet Buick GMC Thunderbowl Raceway and Keller Auto Speedway postpone this weekend’s events due to weather

Tulare, CA…Officials with Stone Chevrolet Buick GMC Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare and Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford have announced the USAC events scheduled for this Friday and Saturday have been postponed due to the impending weather forecast.

With an 80% of rain on Friday and continuing precipitation Saturday, coupled with people traveling from long distance and the price of fuel, the decision was made to call off this weekend’s action.

The good news, however, is the fact that the events will be rescheduled for a future date. Stay tuned for updates regarding that information as soon as it becomes available.

Stone Chevrolet Buick GMC Thunderbowl Raceway returns to competition next weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars invading the one-third mile clay oval. Friday March 11th will find the Western RaceSaver 305’s as the companion class, while the Kings of Thunder Winged 360 Sprint Cars assume that role on Saturday March 12th.

The next scheduled event at the Keller Auto Speedway occurs on Friday April 1st with the USAC/CRA Wingless 410 Sprint Cars, Western RaceSaver Sprints and IMCA Stock Cars. That weekend will also see the Thunderbowl host the annual “Faria Memorial” on Saturday.
