Dave was not just a race organizer. He was a believer – in hope, in fans, in the ability of motorsports to create real-world change. For years, his partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the staff at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway gave this event a soul. And when Dave came to 26 Promotions, he carried his wish: to see the Trophy Cup continue, with its charitable focus shifting to the Rayce Rudeen Foundation – a cause dedicated to saving lives and supporting families affected by addiction.

We did not just accept Dave’s challenge. We embraced his legacy with everything we have. Today, the Trophy Cup remains a celebration of speed and skill, with a focus on the race fans perspective – but more importantly, it’s a rallying point for compassion, community, and healing throughout Tulare and beyond.

Behind the scenes, some faces may change, but the soul of this event remains the same. We’re proud to work alongside Steve Faria, the passionate Tulare Thunderbowl team, and volunteers like the Gomez family, whose love for the sport and selfless dedication transform this race into something profoundly meaningful.
